    Hi Kinder Parents!

Welcome to St. Patrick School!  My name is Suzanne Smith (Mrs. Smith), and I have been the Kindergarten teacher here for the last 12 years.  However, I have been a teacher for 40 years ( I know - I'm old!).  This will be my 21st year teaching Kindergarten.  My other 20 years were spent teaching various combinations of 2nd - 8th Grade.  I love being a Kindergarten teacher - it's my favorite age!  :)

I graduated from UC Berkeley in 1978.  I am married and have 3 amazing chiildren - Jessica (36), Cole (32), and Hillary (29).  Besides being the Kindergarten teacher at St. Patrick School,  I also coach the JV and Varsity Dance teams at Carondelet High School in Concord with Jessica (who is also the Assistant Principa/Director of Admissions at Carondelet).  Cole is a Naval Academy (Annapolis) graduate and is currently living in San San Francisco where he works for a company called JLL (Global Commercial Real Estate Services/Investment Management.  My youngest daughter, Hillary, graduated from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo in 2011. She completed her Master's Degree Program in Global Health at the University of Copenhagenl and is cuurently living in Nepal as a Peace Corps Volunteer. All 3 of my children got married within 10 months of each other! Jessica was married on 9/22/12, Cole's wedding was on 6/29/13, and Hillary's wedding was in Costa Rice on 8/4/13! It was an incredibly exciting, wonderful, AND expensive year for me!  I now have 2 more sons, another daughter, 3 new families and many new friends, so life is good! My oldest daughter, Jessica, gave birth to my first grandchild, Natalie,  on December 27th, 2013!  Words cannot express how much I love this baby girl!  I am so blessed and I LOVE being a grandma! She will be right next door to me in TK this year. And... I have some exciting news to share!  I'm going to be a grandma again in January and I can hardly wait to meet ny 2nd granddaughter!  I am looking forward to the upcoming school year, and I am confident that it will be a memorable and wonderful experience for all of us!  If you ever have any questions or concerns, please let me know.
